After the victory motorcade for Manny Pacquiao was postponed last Friday, DENR secretary Lito Atienza announced that the parade is kicking off tomorrow, May 11, 2009. President Gloria Arroyo declared the date as the new national day of celebration for the People’s Champ.

The motorcade will begin at 8 a.m at the DENR office along Visayas Avenue in Quezon City. It will pass along Visayas Avenue, Mindanao Avenue, North Avenue, West Avenue, Quezon Avenue, Araneta Avenue, Magsaysay Blvd., Aresenio H. Lacson Avenue (formerly Governor Forbes), Tayuman, Pritil Market, Moriones, Zaragosa, Delpan, Delpan Bridge, Bonifacio Drive, T.M. Kalaw, Taft Avenue, Pedro Gil, Tejeron, A. Francisco, Onyx, Dagonoy, Amatista, P. Ocampo, Arellano, Estrada, Taft Avenue, Quirino Avenue, Adriatico, F.B Harrison Road, Buendia, Ayala Avenue, Makati Avenue and ending at the Pag-IBIG building.

Pacquiao is scheduled to arrive in Malacañang at 10:45 a.m for a courtesy call on President Arroyo. The president will also bestow honors to Pacquiao at the Rizal Hall of the palace following a luncheon at 11:00 a.m.
