Cell Phone Load Validity Period Extended
I bought P100 amount of load yesterday and loaded it in my cell phone. The familiar female voice said that I successfully loaded P100 and that my load will expire on August 23, 2009. Seems the new circular implemented by National Telecommunications Corporation (NTC) is working. The number of days where a subscriber can use his load is now extended. I am not an avid text fan. I send text messages to relay important messages. I hate using P20 load before coz they expire within 24 hours and to think I just used P5 of my load.
Under NTC Memorandum Circular No. 03-07-2009, the higher value of load, the longer its validity period. So for P10 load or lower, its new validity period is 3 days (before, it used to be 1 day only). Credits that are more than P10 but not higher than P50 will expire after 15 days. Credits worth more than P50 up to P100 will remain valid for 30 days (The load I used yesterday fell in this category). In addition to these, accessing balance inquiry is also now free of charge.
As of now, the circular that intend to charge phone calls on per second basis instead of the current by the minute and the order that will disallow spam messages like commercial offerings, promotions, surveys and advertisement is still to be issued. This is one of the problems that I experience. I always got a quiz promotion everyday from 232. This 232 is like a best friend that never fails to message me. I also tried many times to cancel it but it won’t work.
At least, a major change is already implemented and the following steps are already in place. As of now I am happy with the validity period extension. I can now use my load longer. Hey, how about texting me sometime? =)
