Firefox 3.5 Released!
Mozilla recently released the latest version of Firefox. It gets faster, safer and smarter. A lot of features had been added to Firefox 3.5 like Private Browsing, faster JavaScript, downloadable fonts, etc. You can also opt to share your location to websites so you can get contents that are fit for you. You can also tear off a tab in your present window into a new one just like you can with Google’s Chrome browser. They’ve also added a button for creating a new tab easily. Unfortunately, this button is not visible on some themes. Private Browsing is a new feature in Firefox although this feature is already added in IE, Safari and Chrome. Private Browsing allows you to browse the Internet without leaving any traces behind such as history, cookies, passwords or form and search bar entries. You can also remove any trace of a certain website you’ve visited while keeping the rest of your history. Version 3.5 is also 2x faster than Version 3.0.x as tested on a Windows XP machine.

Downloadable fonts is a neat new feature has been added for site designers and web developers and also for users. Firefox will render a custom font on a website properly even though it is not installed on the users machine. Another first for Firefox 3.5 is the support for open video and audio formats. Open formats allow modern web pages to display media content without requiring a plug-in or a proprietary software download.
