After weeks of negotiation and 9 hours of mediation, the fight that every boxing fan is waiting for is now off. Reports say that Floyd Mayweather Jr. declined the offer brought into the negotiations despite advices from Richard Schaefer and Al Haymon, the boxer’s promoter and adviser, to take the offer and fight. Team Mayweather is insisting on random blood tests until a few days before fight night. Team Pacquiao offered random blood tests until 24-days before the fight (a concession from the previous 30-day window) and immediately after the fight.

Bob Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, is currently working on arranging an alternate fight for the Pacman on March 13 or 20 against WBA jr. middlewight champion Yuri Foreman for a record eight world titles in as many divisions. While Mayweather is looking into Paulie Malignaggi or Matthew Hatton as his next opponent.
